Dennis Hovis – Board Member
Dennis Hovis became a board member at Pony Bird in 2006.
Since 1984, he has been an independent insurance agent and broker, and serves as President of Dennis C. Hovis & Associates, Inc. in DeSoto, Missouri. He is a registered representative with Walnut Street Securities, Inc., providing investment services with Series 6 and Series 7 Licenses.
Dennis has a large involvement with the community. He is a member of the DeSoto Kiwanis Club and currently serves on the Board of Directors at Eagle Bank and Trust. He is also part of the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation Board, DeSoto Industrial Authority Board, and the DeSoto Community Foundation Board. He served on the DeSoto City Council from 1981 to 1987, as Mayor of DeSoto, Missouri in 1983-84 and 1986-87, and is a former member of the DeSoto Chamber of Commerce Board.
Dennis resides in DeSoto with his wife Kathy and is a member of the First Baptist Church of DeSoto. Mr. & Mrs. Hovis have two sons, Kevin and David. The entire family works together in their insurance and financial services firm, Dennis C. Hovis & Associates, Inc.
