Carol Shelley – Board President
Carol Shelley became a board member at Pony Bird in 1989.
She currently serves as the President and also chairs the Legislative Committee, and serves on the Personnel/Employee, Development/Publicity/Planning, Building/Grounds, and Finance/Audit Committees. Her dedication and expertise in the political arena have helped Pony Bird understand new legislative issues and allows Carol to effectively represent Pony Bird’s interests.
Carol is a Global Strategy & Marketing Administrator for The Solae Company, which is a joint venture between Bunge and DuPont. She achieved her Chancellor’s Certificate in Business Applications from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2003. She served as an Alderwoman for the City of Pevely for six years. She was appointed by Governor Holden to be a member of the Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board for the State of Missouri. She was elected to the Joachim Township Committee.
Carol’s family includes husband David, son Jacob who graduated from CMSU in Warrensburg, Missouri and the University of North Dakota Air Traffic Controllers Program, and son Nathan, who has lived at Pony Bird since 1998.
