Professionally Mr. Mertens is the Presiding Commissioner
of Jefferson County. He is a member of the Festus Crystal
City Kiwanis Club and a member of the Hillsboro Rotary
Club. He served as an administrator in the healthcare field
for many years. His experience and understanding of the internal operations
of a health care organization is a tremendous asset to Pony Bird.
He and his family including his wife
Marsha and sons Andrew, Patrick, and Daniel are members
of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Imperial. Mr. Mertens’ vision for Pony Bird
is “to be a place, a home and a family to support,
love and care for all members of the Pony Bird organization
to assist them in reaching their maximum potential.”
